Ethiopia
Ethiopia is an ancient and spectacular country, twice the size of Texas,
home to more than 60 million people, and now landlocked in the NorthEast
horn of Africa.
Here you will travel back in time to the New Testament itself, as the ancient
Coptic Christian religion here is unchanged since 300 A.D., and the people
and the scenery reflect that fact today.
Majestic fertile highlands in the North drop away to semi desert areas
in the South, which in turn are home to some of the last truly remote and
unchanged tribes in Africa.
Whilst wildlife is plentiful, this is a country for visiting the peoples
and learning about their unique cultures.

Highlights:
The Ethiopian people rank as one of the most beautiful on earth, their
proud features catch worldwide attention.

Throughout the Northern religious towns of Axum, Lalibela and Gondar one
is consistently amazed to find so many differing examples of a proud and
unerring faith.

As one reaches the Southern arid and remote areas, you come across animist
tribes who even today have little contact with the Western world.
