Kenya & Northern Tanzania
Day 1
U.S.A. to London.
Day 2 - 3: London
In London to recover. Depart London Gatwick BA 69 at 10:25pm
Day 4
Arrive Nairobi at 09:00am. Met, taken to Wilson airport for your charter
flight to Lewa Downs, guests of William and Emma Craig on their
55,000 acre rhino sanctuary on the Northern slopes of 17,000ft
Mt Kenya. (Samburu area)
Day 5-6: Lewa Downs
Visit the Ndorobo cultural area at IL Ngwesi. Walking,
riding and game driving.
Day 7
Fly west across the Laikipia plateau to Mukutan, Kuki Gallman's fabulous
retreat built on her 100,000 acre ranch on the
Eastern edge of the Rift Valley.
Day 8 - 9: Mukutan
Walking and game driving.
Day 10
Charter to Maasai Mara - Rekero , guests of Ron and Pauline Beaton in their
forested home North of the Mara.
Day 11 - 12: Mara
In the Mara, perhaps take a balloon flight across the
Mara plains. Possibly take a days fishing trip to Lake Victoria
to fish for giant Nile perch.
Day 13
Charter flight to Nairobi to clear customs, and then on to Kilimanjaro,
Tanzania to be met by your guide, cross the border and drive to
Arusha for lunch, then on to Tarangire, and a private tented camp.
Day
14 - 15: Tarangire
Should be teeming with game in June , July.
Day 16
Drive to Ngoro Ngoro Crater, perhaps visit a Maasai school, stay
at the unique luxury Conscorp crater lodge on the crater rim.
Day
17
Drop 2,000ft to the crater floor, spend all day there with
picnic meals.
Day 18
Drive to Lake Manyara Park, picnic lunch before charter flight at
130pm via Kilimanjaro for customs, to Nairobi Wilson. Met, taken
for dinner before driving to airport for flight to Europe.
